President Obama at the Advanced Photon Source President Obama visited Argonne National Laboratory on Friday, March 15, 2013, where he “spoke inside a building housing a giant X-ray [machine] known as the Advanced Photon Source, described by Argonne officials as the brightest source of X-rays in the Western Hemisphere. The facility allows scientists to explore materials on a nanoscale and to study ways to improve engine combustion,” as described in a story that appeared in the New York Times, which can be read here.
